Fight Card / Boxing Program

The fight card will align with AIBA rules and be sanctioned by the relevant boxing and government authorities. The program will contemplate people new to boxing and experienced boxers providing opportunities for trans, gender diverse, intersex and non-binary people to safely compete. Participants will be matched with an opponent of similar ability, weight and fitness level to ensure a fair contest.

 

Two fighters will face each other in bouts of 3 rounds of 2 minutes with at least a 1-minute break between each round. We envisage offering the following weight divisions…

Women

  • Light < 52 kg / 114lb
  • Medium 52 – 60 kg /114-132 lb
  • Heavy 60 – 70 kg/ 132-154 lb
  • Super Heavy > 70 kg / 154 lb

Men

  • Light < 63 kg /138 lb
  • Medium 63 – 75 kg /138 -165 lb
  • Heavy 75 – 86 kg/165-189 lb
  • Super Heavy > 86 kg /189 lb Weight
We plan to offer non-combative options involving the judging of technical skills e.g. shadow boxing, bag and pad drills.
